This is eight days after I actually got the tattoo. It’s getting a little brighter now that it’s healing up. It’s a Lung-Hu Seal of Protection. The tranquility and peace of the yin yang is balanced by the chaos of the Tiger and Dragon. This just showcases how there’s been ups and downs in my life, but it’s the balance of it that makes it so beautiful and precious.

There are six Chinese symbols circling the seal. They translate to:

Mother - Brother - Honor - Wisdom - Perseverance - Power. 

My mother and my brother are, without a doubt, the top two people in my life. Their names are engraved right over my heart where they belong and where they’ll always be.

The other four words are characteristics that I live by and hope to possess as I continue on through college, med school, and the rest of my life.
