My mother is the person whom I’m most thankful for this Christmas. There was a point in my upbringing where we had little to nothing and had to struggle for everything that we had. But, in the end, it was all of the hard work and determination that made us as close of a family as we are today.

My little brother really doesn’t know how to pick an appropriate shirt for picture day. Or to smile appropriately. Haha. Gotta love him though. Little brat.

My cousin and my mom in D.C. We were like brothers when we were kids. He even lived with me for a period of time and we were always getting into trouble. We come from similar backgrounds, gone through some similar shit, and have the same mindset in regards to our future. Even through all the stuff he’s been through, he’s managed to stay honorable and a role model. He’s pursuing a career in art and balances a full-time job while going to college. He’s the one person in my family who I can really look up to.
